What Customers Say About GolfLogix GPS by Garmin (2008 Model):

Sometimes you just want to know the distance to trees,,,landing area, the flag,,,downhill or uphill shots (This makes a difference as it compensates for the addition or subtraction of the distance). With all these toys you would think it would improve my golf game, ha ha.well my skill level needs improvement however I love to know how far I hit my shots,,,how far I need to hit them,,,,it makes my day a lot more relaxed and sometimes I hit the shot of the day.If you are reading this review I would like to put a plug in for Sun Mountain. Recently purchase the latest Golflogic 2008 model and was up and running in 15 minutes with 20 courses of my choice.Advantages over the Sky Caddie:Batteries. With the Sky caddie I had to pay additional fee's to download one course I go to in Wa.Big Bright view. You cannot map your own course with the Golflogix.I attach both to my Sun Mountain cart. This way I have the best of both worlds.I use the Bushnell 1500 with the slope as well. A very nice feature.Feel better about this unit being water proof. The Golflogix selects the course and hole you are on when you turn it on.

With the Sky caddie I purchased a waterproof bag container for the rainy days. (Which we get in Vancouver). One yearly fee and you download 20 courses anywhere. When I retired some time ago I purchased a new set of clubs, bag, cart, Bushnell 1500 and the Sky Caddie. If your course is not on the list to download you could map it yourself. As I purchased the Sky Caddie at the beginning I had to map a few of the courses myself. My buddies like to know their distance to the pin and I always have the unit on distance of my shot when I advance after hitting my ball. In hindsight I would go to a professional shop and have the clubs made for my body, swing, speed etc.The Golflogix GPS 2008 Model is a winner. I am 6'1" and am very happy with the set up.Upon retirement as mentioned I purchased a complete set of clubs.

I carry four extra in my bag for the Golflogix and in the past I have forgotten to charge up the Sky Caddie and it went dead half way through my round. The Sky Caddie is slow and you have to scroll through to select your course. I purchased the C130 bag, the V2 cart, and the cooler bag. I am sure this is because of the new technology. I would think the latest Sky Caddie would be bright as well.Con to the Golflogix over the Sky CaddieYou cannot map your own course with the Golflogix as you can with the Sky Caddie. The umbrella fits into the top of the cart and you can easily get under it without bending over. Hope this review helpsOld Fart with Old habits,,,,

Right now their marketing and promotions appear to be a sham. Postal receipt indicates unit was delivered to them on 08/01, and as of 08/18 I still have not heard from them.

Mistake. Purchased the Golflogix in July, because I have been happy with Garmin GPS.

I returned the unit under their "satisfaction guarantee" policy, and still have not heard from them. After problems with downloading software, I tried to contact Golflogix via e-mail and telephone.

No response from Golflogix. Have made two phone calls and sent two e-mails, and no response.

In the meantime have purchased a Sky Caddie, and am delighted with performance and customer service.

Easy setup and download of favorite courses.actually surprised at the number of obscure courses in their database. Saves you time.not looking for yardage markers. And it's accurate.on the money. Can't find your favorite course.not likely. But tell them and they'll plot it for you.

The product performs as advertised, and I'm glad I bought it.The price was good and the delivery timely.A thoroughly painless purchase.

What an amazing device. Powered up and acquired satellites in just a couple of minutes; I clipped it to my golf bag, and was on my way. Simple to download courses, took just a minute or so to do 10 of my locals. And the first time I used it, it worked exactly as advertised. Advances from shot to shot and hole to hole automatically; yardages at my home course were just laser-measured to the foot, and this little gadget was right on the money with yardages that my club paid beaucoup dollars to have done. Wish I had known about this item before we invested big bucks in an outside survey of our course. Our pro is considering buying them for every cart on the course, speeds up play tremendously, and even though I spray the ball a lot, it was never a problem getting an accurate yardage, even from a different fairway.Highly recommend this device, you CANNOT go wrong with it.
